A Stress Free Vacation
We get these questions a lot, so no worries! If you have a question that is unanswered below, send us an email, text or call. We want your trip to be as stress free and as smooth as possible, we're here to help any day and time.
Q:Does the kitchen have cooking supplies?
A: Yes, we have provided cooking supplies at the cottage such as pots, pans, dishes and more! We love cooking at the kitchen so you'll find the kitchen to be well stocked. There are a few cleaning supplies as well such as a broom, mop, etc.
Q: Is there an area to play games outside?
A: The back yard at the cottage is large and a perfect place to play outdoor games. We do offer a small selection of outdoor games at the cottage, but your more than welcome to bring your own.
Q: Is smoking allowed?
We ask that our property, inside and out remain a smoke free area.
Q: Can I swim at the cottage?
A: You certainly can, and on those hot summer days you will want to! You can swim at low or high tide. There is a staircase that will bring you right down to the water. To have the best swimming experience we suggest goggles and water shoes.
Q: Do we need to bring linens, bedding or towels?
A:We provide fresh, clean linens , bedding& bath towels for your stay. We ask you bring your own beach towel.
We're all about being comfy and cozy at the cottage. There are additional throw blankets and pillows to snuggle up with on a cool night, or to read a good book with. However you'r more than welcome to bring what makes you most comfy.
Q: What about wood for the fire pit and wood stove?
We ask that unless you are staying with us in the winter months that you NOT use the wood stove inside the cottage. The fire pit in the back can be used anytime (as long as there are no fire bans on) and is a great place to spend the evening with friends, under the stars enjoying toasted marsh mellows perhaps! You can purchase wood in Digby at home hardware, or make use of any cut wood we have provided or other guests have left.
Q: Do we need to bring groceries?
A:You do need to bring your own groceries. There are many grocery stores in Digby including a Sobeys, Atlantic Superstore, Walmart, etc.
Q: Do we allow pets?
A:We love pets, and we know they are a big part of the family but we try to remain as pet free as possible. We can sometime accommodate your furry family member for an extra cleaning fee. If you have questions about this please contact us.
Q: Is there a BBQ and do we need to bring our own Propane?
A:We do have a BBQ you are more than welcome to use and we supply the propane. Nothing better than a summer BBQ! All we ask is that you DO NOT move the BBQ from its area and that you clean the grill when you are done.
Q: What's the parking situation like?
A:You can park for free in our driveway, in fact there is room for a few cars. All we ask is that you don't drive your car around onto the back side of the cottage (oceanside).
